Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Larry Brower has been saving Kimball County residents and businesses thousands of dollars annually for the past 25 years.
Last year, from Kimball to Alliance to York, he saved folks over $600,000. Anyone on the Choice Gas program can call Brower. He can save you money and does everything for you, including filling out the forms for no charge.
Brower said, "No one else can come close to the price. I go with whoever is the cheapest (natral gas provider). He said he can arrange a cost of 45 cents a therm with one company at this point, and everyone else is at 60 cents a therm. He represents 1.2 million therms throughout the state.
To save the county, Kimball County Manor, and Kimball Health Service some money, Brower started small, but then, he recalled, "I thought, if I can do that, why can't I save the church's money? I got all the churches in it."
Brower said he has continued with this non-paying job, and now he has about 600 customers, hence representing 1.2 million therms.
"I have all the churches, banks and most businesses," he said.
About 10 years ago, he said he got the schools to commit to him. He saved them over $27,000 that year alone.
"It is a good deal for everyone. We are all taxpayers." Brower said.
Brower said he has plans to continue doing this Choice Gas program for the next two years.
