Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
According to Kimball Longhorn golf coach Chuck Christensen, the golf team is improving.
As he put it, "The best team score this year is 60 strokes better than last year."
A busy stretch is coming up for the Horns.
Christensen and his team will be at the SPVA Tournament on Friday. On Saturday, they will play in Gordon at the Western Trails Conference meet. A dual meet with Shelton is scheduled for May 1st on the Four Winds Course, and on May 4, 12-14 teams will be on the Four Winds Course for the Kimball Invite.
This past Monday, the Kimball golfers traveled to Scottsbluff, where Kyler Lusche placed fourth with an 86 in the Division 2 category. The team also placed fourth in Division 2. Landon Norberg shot a 97. Connor Deboodt had a 102, and Bransyn Kiefer shot a 104.
At Morrill, the Longhorn team placed second, with Kyler Lusche taking 5th place with an 82, and Conner Deboodt earned the 10th place medal with an 87. Landon Norberg was just out of medal range with an 89, and Bransyn Kiefer shot a 97.
