Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Teresa Gonzalez of Kimball is facing three felony charges – including domestic first degree assault, possession of a controlled substance, and terroristic threats – and two misdemeanor charges from an incident on July 8 at the First Interstate Inn. Gonzalez is being held in North Platte on $50,000 bond.
On July 8, Gonzalez took her partner, who had a stab wound in his abdomen, to Kimball Health Services.
Kimball County Sheriff Dave Hottell interviewed the victim July 13 at Regional West Medical Center, where he stated that “Teresa had stabbed him with a small knife because she thought that he was cheating on her.”
Hottell and Deputy Greg Taylor went to the First Interstate Inn, where Gonzalez resides, and read her the miranda rights and she consented to a search of the two rooms.
Hottell, Taylor, Deputy Dwain Murdoch, and Kimball Police Chief Jose Ruiz searched the rooms and located several knives, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Gonzalez will be in Kimball County Court on July 26 at 11 a.m.
