Korby D. Swantkoski, 57, of Bushnell, died in Kimball on Friday, August 18, 2023. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday September 16, 2023 at the Sagebrush in Kimball.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. to sign the register book and leave condolences for the family.
Friends may also visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view his tribute wall and share stories with the family. Memorials may be given in memory of Korby to the family. The services for Korby have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Korby Dean Swantkoski was born in Ogallala, Nebraska on May 5, 1966, the son of Jack and Virginia (Daubendick) Swantkoski. After graduating from high school in 1984, he pursued his dreams by attending trade school in Colorado. Throughout his life, he exhibited a strong work ethic, evident in his diverse career path. Korby worked for the railroad, oilfield, hauling cars, farming, and Clean Harbors.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Korby was a man of diverse interests. He had an undying love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, enjoying the freedom of the open road. His love for the outdoors was evident through his passion for fishing and hunting.
Above all, Korby was known for his unwavering friendship. He touched the hearts of many with his kindness, loyalty, and the genuine care he extended to those fortunate enough to be part of his life. His true friends will always remember the camaraderie and companionship he offered, making every moment spent with him a cherished memory.
Survivors include his father Jack (Barb) Swantkoski of Phillips, NE; sister Karma of Springer, NM; step-brothers Kevin, Michael; step-sisters Echo and Patty; aunts Bonnie, Vicky, Avis (Kay), Delores (Tom) and Gloria; nephews Eli (Katlynn) and Breyer.
He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Fuller and husband Dalton, step-sister Angie Fuller, uncles Brian, Brad, David, Richard, Harold (Hot Dog) and Raymond (Little Dobbie).
