Kimball XC Takes 3rd In Run At The Rocks

The Kimball boys cross country team placed third at the Run at the Rocks-Bridgeport Invite after the Kimball Invite. The team was just 2 points out of first place.

Following that nice showing, Kimball XC has a meet today (Thursday) at Ogallala, then next week at Gothenburg, and Oct. 12 at the D-6 district meet.

In Bridgeport, Braxton Miller ran to seventh place, followed by Braylon Miller in 17th and freshman Trey Cook in 19th place.

Eddie Duran captured 23rd and Conrad Kaminski was 26th. Other finishers were Joseph Bremer, Wyatt Cords, Peter Russell, Jacob Wendt, Wyatt Cook, Patrick Howard and Kip Gillming.

Shannen Acheson, the only girl out for cross country, ran 27th at Bridgeport.

At the Alliance Invite at Laing Lake on Saturday, Sept. 16, Kimball competed strongly against much larger schools and took fifth place in the team standing out of nine tough teams.

Braxton Miller took 22nd place in time of 20:11.91, and his brother Braylon Miller was in the 25th spot.

Trey Cook placed 36th and was followed by Conrad Kaminski in 38th and Eddie Duran in 41st. Joseph Bremer rounded out the varsity team in 50th place.

Competing against Scottsbluff, Chadron and Gering, Shannen Acheson ran the 5,000 Meters in 27:27.11, getting 37th place.
