The Longhorns improved to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in D1-District 11 and next head to Bridgeport for a district clash of unbeatens at 6 p.m. Friday. In Bridgeport, 2-0 in the district and 4-2 overall, the Horns will meet a team on a four-game win streak and much stronger than Morrill on both sides of the ball. Leading Kimball in the homecoming win were senior Derek Kauffman with 116 rushing yards and two touchdowns, Paxton with 65 yards on six receptions and three touchdowns, and sophomore Ryker Behrend, who completed six of 11 passes for 72 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Leading the Longhorns in tackles were a pir of freshmen – Luke Berger with five solo tackles and one assist and Greg Bingham with three solo tackles and four assists.
