Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The Kimball cross county season came to an end at districts Wednesday of last week, but not without a strong finish. Kimball placed fourth in districts with 76 points. Seventeen teams competed.
Due to the colder weather, the event was moved from Thursday to Wednesday at Pheasant Run Golf Course, Perkins County.
Kimball’s lone female runner, senior Shannen Acheson, placed 28th at districts with a time of 25:32.33.
With 77 runners in the boys division, Kimball guys ran strong and have a bright future. Three strong senior runners, including Braylon Miller, Wyatt Cords, and Joe Bremer have finished their high school cross county season.
Top Kimball runner sophomore Braxton Miller placed 26th, and brother Braylon was right behind him in 28th place.
Two additional sophomores chose the right time to peak – Eddie Duran was 34th and Conrad Kaminski was 35th. Freshman Trey Cook placed 41st.
