HELPING ISABELLE

Dix American Legion Post Gives From Its Heart To Benefit Accident Victim

A miracle happened in Kimball. Do you remember the girl who was seriously injured in the car accident with her mother who died in the wreck?

Her name is Isabelle, and she came to see us and thank all the people who donated and bought raffle tickets that American Legion Western Post #292 sold to benefit her.

Izzy still has a long way to go on her path to recovery. However, she is making progress.

Her guardians now are Jed and Stephanie Dixon, and they are from Colorado.

Isabelle, the Dixons, and the members of the American Legion Post #292 want to thank each and every person for their help. It is great to live in a community where people still care about other people. The Legion wants to give special thanks to Shavonne Singleton for all of the diligent hours helping us organize and implement this undertaking.

Shavonne also donated the gun that was raffled, Castro roofing donated the toolset, and Jocko

Express Inc. donated the cash prize at the raffle. There were many cash donations from Kimball, Banner and Cheyenne counties, and even some from Scotts Bluff County.

In all, adding the raffle money and the donations, this community raised $8,250.00 to help. Thank you all for helping.
