James Dee 'JD' Vencill

James Dee “JD” Vencill, age 88 of Vernal, of Vernal passed on Sunday September 17, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.

JD was born on February 9, 1935 in Kimball, Nebraska, where he was raised.

He graduated from Kimball High School in 1953. After graduation he worked in the petroleum industry for his entire career.

JD was a great family man and loving father. He married Dorothy Ann Kellner on July 31, 1955. They were blessed with 3 children together, including Christie Renae who passed away in infancy.

JD was a social, active man who was deeply involved in Christianity and its teachings for the majority of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and being with his family. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, Godly man.

A celebration of life for JD was held Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Vernal Christian Church (1845 West 750 South) in Vernal, Utah.
