And You Can Kiss It Goodbye

Banner County

Good morning and here we are kissing 2023 Goodbye.

All in all the year was better then some for me, but I am still l not sad to see 2023 come to and end and

I am looking forward to the new one. I hope the same can be said for you.

Very little outside events this week other than New Year’s Eve celebrations and most of those are spent with family and friends.

The Midwest has one more showing today, December 28th. of “Mrs. Doubtfire” and that will be at 1:30 p.m.

Although school is out until next year, the boys junior varsity basketball team will travel to Hay Springs on Friday the 29th to play at 4 p.m. and the varsity girls will play at 5 p.m.

The Winter Farmers Market will be open at the legacy of the Plains Museum in Gering on the 30th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If you want to get rid of any holiday weight you have acquired this past few weeks, there will be a First Day Hike at the Wildcat Hills on the 1st at 1:30 p.m. I’m not sure how far they are hiking!

No School yet on the 2nd, but the boys middle school basketball team will take on Sioux County at their home site at 4 p.m. and the boys varsity basketball team will challenge Sioux County at 5:30 p.m. Good luck and safe travel to all of you.

With all of the extra activities those last three days of school, I imagine a few days of “chill” – as in rest – is good for everyone.

I know Christmas gifts made in the lower elementary (with the help of one little elf ) were extremely time consuming, although still written Merry Christmas! with a smile.

I hope you have a Great New Year with good health, love, friends and family.

Take care until next time. Barb Cross at 436-7152.
