Kaleb D. Harms, 29, of Pine Bluffs, died at his home in Pine Bluffs on Monday, January 8, 2024. Cremation has been held and memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Alan Foutz officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Pine Bluffs Cemetery following the service.
Friends may visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view Kaleb's tribute wall to share condolences and stories with the family. Memorials may be given in his memory to the family for benefit of his children. The services for Kaleb have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Kaleb David Harms, born on September 20, 1994, in Greeley, Colorado, the son of Brian and Penny (Buddecke) Harms. Kaleb was raised in Kimball, Nebraska, and he attended Kimball High School. On June 12, 2014, Kaleb was united in marriage with Jessica Uhrig and they made their home in Oshkosh and expanded their family with the addition Jaelynn and Bentley. Kaleb worked at Valley Tire as a valued employee. In 2018, they made Pine Bluffs, WY their home and though their paths diverged, their time together left an indelible mark. He diligently worked on the family farm in Colorado and remained committed to his work until his untimely passing.
Kaleb found joy in simple pleasures, such as target shooting and his passion for firearms, and he relished the thrill of hunting. An accomplished cook, he delighted in creating milkshakes and his version of Zuppa Toscano soup. His culinary skills extended beyond the kitchen to his smoker, a tool he cherished using alongside his loyal canine companions, Cali and Sage. Known for his remarkable ability to fix anything, Kaleb's heart of gold shone through his willingness to lend a helping hand without hesitation. His love for his children was evident in the playful moments they shared. Kaleb David Harms leaves behind cherished memories, a legacy of generosity, and a warmth that touched the lives of all who knew him. May he find eternal peace, and may his spirit live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Survivors include his parents Brian (Penny) Harms of Kimball, NE; children Bentley Harms and Jaelynn Harms; sister Emily Harms and friend Dalton Underwood of Cheyenne, WY; grandmothers Mae Harms of Grover, CO., and Patricia Buddecke of Kimball, NE; uncle Daniel Harms of Grover, CO; aunts Brenda (Doug) Birlingmaier of Loveland, CO., Corinna (Todd) Schmidt of Sterling, CO, and Angela (Jerry) Gregory of Fruita, CO; cousins Tara (Kevin) Wolfe, Corey Werner, Jeremy Gregory, Christopher Gregory, Ryan (Casey) Gregory and Tyler Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Leo Buddecke and Orvil Harms, uncle David Harms and aunt Kristy Mazel.
