Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The Longhorns are “thrilled” to introduce their latest head coach, Jenna Enevoldson, to lead the girls volleyball program, Kimball Public Schools Activities Director Darrell Howitt announced Tuesday.
“Congratulations, Jenna,” Howitt said. “We extend our best wishes to you and the Longhorn volleyball team as you embark on this exciting new journey!”
She succeeds longtime Kimball volleyball coach Jeri Ferguson. Enevoldson was assistant coach the last three seasons.
Enevoldson brings experience and passion to the job, according to her “Welcome to the KPS Team” introduction on the school district’s website.
She played volleyball at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington and in her sophomore year won the award as Region IV libero of the year. In high school, her team won the Wyoming 2A state championship in her senior year.
Now in her third year teaching math at Kimball Public Schools, the mother of three said she has coached basketball and track, but her “true passsion lies in volleyball.”
“I am enthusiastic about sharing my love for volleyball with the talented young athletes in the Kimball area,” she said. “I hope to inspire them and guide them to success on and off the court.”
