Carolyn K. (Gehrke) Fletcher, 73, of Kimball, passed away of complications from liver disease at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha on April 26, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Randy Bohac officiating and burial to follow in the Kimball Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 9th from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. All are invited to share well wishes, memories and stories on Carolyn’s Tribute Wall at http://www.cantrellfh.com.
Carolyn Kay Fletcher was born in Kimball, Nebraska on December 20, 1950. After graduating from Kimball County High School in 1969, she moved to Denver and attended school to become a Dental Assistant. In the 1990s, she went back to trade school and changed careers, becoming a licensed electrician. Carolyn was charismatic and kind, making friends everywhere she went. She loved her family and was especially proud of her son and grandchildren.
Carolyn loved animals and always had a dog in her life. She also enjoyed sports, both playing softball and supporting her son while he played soccer, baseball, and basketball. She was also an avid Broncos fan and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Survivors include her son, Sean Conover of Omaha; grandchildren Asher and Reagan Conover of Omaha; brother David (Lavonne) Gehrke of Gilbert, AZ; sister Tami Argo-Ray (Jim Ray) of Gold Canyon, AZ; nieces Lorissa Argo-Ray (Jim Barnum) of Denver, CO, Amanda (Keenan) Waters and 4 sons of Brighton, CO, and Staci Gehrke and fiancé Mike Osborn and son and daughter of Mesa, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Gale Gehrke and infant sister Marcia Lynn Gehrke.
