Class Of 2024 Members All Pursuing Plans After Their Resilient High School Years
The Banner County Wildcat Class of 2024, the 104th graduating class from Banner County School, has shown resilience. In her welcoming remarks, Superintendent Dr. Evelyn Browne acknowledged the class's struggle through the pandemic, a time period that tested their strength and determination.
The 11 graduates will head off in a variety of different directions after graduation.
Nathan Clement will attend Southeast Community College in Milford to study Automotive Technology in the Ford ASSET Program. Nathan received scholarships from SCC for First Year, Carriage House, Haven and Virginia Smith.
Many of the BC graduates will attend Western Nebraska Community College pursuing a variety of degrees. Grace Fankhauser will study nursing, Ti Gaasch welding and Nathaniel McGowan diesel mechanic. Brendyn Onstott received a WNCC Early Admission scholarship and will study for an automotive certification.
Job Corps is the destination for Janie Fonesca-Warm to study welding.
Marie Hein will also attend WNCC for general studies, then continue to pursue equine training.
Adam Knaub and Jacob Parson both plan to enter the work in their family business.
Andie West plans to attend Laramie County Community College, where she will pursue an associate's degree in agriculture and participate in livestock judging. Then she plans to continue her studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a major in agriculture education.
Andie's scholarships include Kimball-Banner County 4-H, Banner County FFA, Farm Bureau, Banner County School Foundation Van Pelt Bakken, Banner County Alumni Dollars for Scholarship, and the John Jones Memorial Scholarship as the first recipient
Finally, Wyatt Reichenberg will attend Chadron State College, participate in rodeo, and study for a degree in equine and livestock management.
