Man Gets Prison Time For Threats

He Also Was Shot Last Halloween In Kimball

Jeffrey Barborak has been sentenced to be incarcerated in a facility to be determined by the Nebraska Department of Correction for a term of 18 months after an incident in April.

Barborak was arrested for a bond violation, then was arrested for terroristic threats when he refused to comply for a urine analysis.

During the booking process, Barborak told the deputy and staff that “I’m going to come in here and shoot you guys up.” He told the deputy that he was going to come back and after he gets out that he would blow the deputy’s head off.

Barborak, convicted of criminal attempt-possession of a controlled substance was sentenced to 90 days in the Kimball County Jail and received credit for 41 days served. His sentences will run consecutively.

In another matter, Barborak suffered gunshot wounds in an incident on Halloween evening last year at the Finer Motel in east Kimball. That case is working its way through the court system.
