Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Kimball High School junior Joey Perry had the great opportunity to discover actuarial science, which has to do with insurance, and visit the University of Nebraska's Lincoln campus.
Joey spent June 10-12 meeting industry professionals and touring their workplaces. The program encouraged competition to create solutions to a business problem.
According to Joey, "An actuary is someone who prices the rates on products in the insurance industry."
She did admit that she did not have a huge interest in the subjects.
"I was just curious and wanted to learn more about the school and that seemed like a good opportunity," she said.
