Brent Kevin Curyea

Funeral services for Brent Kevin Curyea, 67, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Glendo Community Church, 118 North Paige Street, in Glendo, Wyoming with Pastor Benny Hill officiating.

Brent died Monday, June 24, 2024 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming.

He was born Sunday, August 12, 1956 in Cheyenne, Wyoming the son of Donald Milton and Thelda Faye (Anderson) Curyea. Brent was married to Doris Fay Klinginsmith on July 14, 1979 in Laramie, Wyoming.

Brent worked in Laramie at Monolith Cement Plant. He then worked as a splicer for fiber optic cable in Washington, Oregon, and California. The family moved from Washington to Kimball, Nebraska where he worked as a lineman for the City of Kimball.

Brent loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed doing carpentry work.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Curyea, of Douglas; children, Jaron (Kelsey) Curyea of Cody, Wyoming, Brittany (Kevin) Fink of Omaha, Nebraska, Brandon Curyea of Cody, and Heather (Tyler) McCarty of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sister, Pamela (Roger) Nelson of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Jace Curyea, Colter Curyea, Sophia Grow, Hunter Fink, Finliegh Fink, and Kadon Fink; nephews, Patrick Nelson and Scott Nelson; and niece, Stephanie Nelson.

Brent was preceded in death by his father, Don, on December 1, 2001 and mother, Thelda, on January 18, 2009.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Glendo Community Church, P.O. Box 81, Glendo, Wyoming 82213 would be appreciated by the family.
