Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Ribbon winners at the State 4-H Premier Communications Event in Lincoln were Central Banner 4-H Club members Isaac Olsen in back and, in front from left, Gabe Olsen, Luke Olsen and Theodore Perry.
Four members of the Central Banner 4-H Club competed with other 4-Hers from all over Nebraska in the State 4-H Premier Communications Event in Lincoln on June 18.
Isaac Olsen (17), Luke Olsen (13), Gabe Olsen (10) and Theodore Perry (9) wrote and prepared speeches on topics related to their 4-H experiences.
Isaac competed in the Senior Prepared Speech Event, Luke Olsen competed in the Intermediate Prepared Speech Event, and Gabe Olsen and Theodore Perry competed in the Junior Prepared Speech Event.
All four competitors received purple ribbons, and both Isaac and Gabe broke into the finals in their events.
Isaac won the Senior Prepared Speech Division.
The eight Junior Division finalists were not ranked beyond a designation of the Top 5, and Gabe received a Top 5 Award.
