Coral Lynnette Blind, age 71, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Klamath Falls, OR, just shy of her 72nd birthday. Born on September 5, 1952 in Ft, Morgan, CO to Perry and Dorothy Castor. Coral was a loving, kind woman with a great sense of humor and was deeply devoted to her faith.
Coral grew up in Kimball, NE graduating from Kimball County High School in 1970. She married Roy Blodgett and through this marriage they were blessed with two sons, Scott and Shawn.
After their divorce, Coral moved to Klamath Falls, OR in 1983 where she met her husband Bill Blind. Coral's career spanned various roles before she found her calling with the Klamath Police Department in 1992. She served the community with dedication for over 31 years, retiring in May 2020. Coral's work ethic and commitment to service were evident in every task she undertook.
An active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Coral's faith was a crucial aspect of her life. She participated in the church choir, sharing her passion for music and worship. Her hobbies included singing with Sweet Adeline's and Basin Blend, knitting, baking, and designing custom cards for all occasions. Coral cherished the time spent with her family and fnends, always bringing JOY and warmth into their lives.
Coral is survived by her husband, Bill Blind of Klamath Falls; sons and daughter-in-law, Scott and Angela Blodgett of Kimball, NE, and Shawn Blodgett of Kimball, NE; brother, Dave Castor of Klamath Falls, OR; sister and brother-in-law, Kay (Castor) and Mike Zurenko of Lindale, TX; sisters-in-law Luan (Blodgett) Anderson of Centennial, CO, Janice Martin and Connie Lakey of Klamath Falls and four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Dorothy Castor
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, at Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd, 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, OR. A celebration of life will be scheduled in Kimball, NE, at a later date.
