Exactly What Holiday Is Coming Up, Anyway?

Banner County

Here we are in the merry month of October.

I have seen pumpkins sitting on the store shelves beside spooks, turkeys and Christmas trees. Seems like it kind of takes the fun of anticipating each individual holiday when you see that. Like they are offering you a “bundle” like some television program package.

Anyway, here we go with the first week of October, busy as usual.

Today, October 3rd, the cross country middle school and high school teams are headed to the Chimney Rock Golf Course in Bayard for competition beginning at 2:30 p.m. In addition, the varsity volleyball team will host South Platte at 5 p.m. and football will follow at 7 p.m. The games are on Thursday because there is NO School on Friday the 4th.
