Harvest Hamburger Feed, Flowerfield Days On Calendar

Banner County

Good morning! It has certainly cooled off; the leaves are changing color and falling off.

Fall is definitely here. Hope it sticks around for awhile. I am not ready for Old Man Winter!

The Midwest Theater weekend of spooky movies starts today with “Long Legs” at 7 p.m. and a Ghost Tour at about 9.

On Friday, celebrating its 50th anniversary “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” will play at 1:30 p.m. After that, celebrating its 40th anniversary at 7 p.m. will be “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”

The ghouls will continue as on Saturday, October 19th. At 1:30 p.m. “Creature From the Black Lagoon” will show for its 70th anniversary. Then “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” will play again at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on both the 19th and 20th, and there will be a Ghost Tour between the two movies at approximately 8:45 p.m.

On the 20th at 1:30 p.m., “Nightmare on Elm Street” will play again.

If all that doesn’t give you a chance to be creeped out, I don’t know what will.

Registration will be through the 18th at the Leid Scottsbluff Public Library for the Adult Reading Program titled “Adventure Begins At Your Library.” Events will include an air fryer class, chair yoga, a movie night at the library, a poetry walk and more!
