Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Kimball’s final game of the regular volleyball season was played on Tuesday night against Perkins County, and now comes subdistricts Oct. 28 and 29.
According to the Nebraska School Activities Association site no information was available for subdistrict assignments.
Subdistrict D1-12 is comprised of Hemingford, Kimball, Morrill and Potter-Dix, but no host school is listed.
Unfortunately some Panhandle D-2 teams have struggled throughout the volleyball season as of Tuesday afternoon.
Banner County is at 1-22. Creek Valley has a record of 4-20.
Garden County has a strong winning season going on with a 22-4 record. Hay Springs is solid with a 19-10 record. Always a strong team, Leyton is 28-0. Minatare is almost even at 13-15, and traditional powerhouse Paxton struggled this season with a 12-16 record.
D-1 area teams include Kimball at 2-24 as of Tuesday afternoon, Morrill with a solid win record of 21-8, Potter-Dix at 13-14, South Platte at 10-17 record, and Hemingford will take a losing season into sub-districts.
