Blood Drive Nov. 15 At Banner County School

Banner County

Good morning and here we are being thankful for the moisture that we received this past weekend!

Not a whole lot going on this week as Veterans Day was observed this past Monday and now we are in anticipation of Thanksgiving. However, until then we will carry on as usual.

Today, November 14th between 10 and 11 a.m. the Wildcat Hills Homeschool Program will be offered, and at 1 p.m. you can take that painting class I mentioned last week that is closer to home. Meet at the Banner County Museum to join a “Holiday Barn Paint Class.” The picture is preprinted and the session will end at 3 p.m.

That evening at 6 p.m. is Christian Skate Night at the Zwetzig Bounce & Skate house and on the 17th, at the same time, it will be Family Skate Night.

Friday, November 15th, there will be a Banner County blood drive at the school from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The 15th is also the first day of the weekend movie at the Midwest featuring “Harold and the Purple Crayon” showing at 1:30 and 7 p.m. and the following day at 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

That evening there will be Wine Tasting with Niobrara Valley Vineyards at 5:30 p.m. at 1720 10th St. in Gering, and closer to home the annual Dinner Theater will be at 6 p.m.

In Scottsbluff they will host a “Write-In” which will be a time for writers to work, meet others who are interested in writing, gain inspiration, and get prompts and challenges in their writing attempts. This will be from 5-9 p.m. at Scottsbluff Public Library.

Saturday the 16th there will be a session at 2620 College Park (at WNCC) on Traditional Healing Soups from 10 a.m. to noon. There is a fee.

Also that day, it is the 85th anniversary of “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” which will play at the Midwest Theater at 1;30 p.m.

Here at home, the FFA students attending a District Leadership Development session in Chadron will head that way on the 20th.

Well, that is all I have for now. Have a great week and take care until next time. Barb Cross at 436-7152.
