Good morning! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you gobblers and wobblers! Thankful for healthy family, friends and freedom.

Today the annual Thanksgiving in the Valley Dinner will be served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Guadalupe Center, 1200 E 9th Street in Scottsbluff. It is Free and everyone is welcome. For home delivery please call 632-3736.

There is also a Thanksgiving Buffet at the Scottsbluff Country Club at 5014 Ave. I beginning at 11 a.m. and everyone is invited.

Another free Thanksgiving Dinner will be hosted by the American Legion in Morrill between noon and 1:30 p.m. For delivery please call 247-2475.

The following day is Black, very Black. Black Friday has almost become Black week before and after Black Friday. Deals everywhere presuming to be deals, local, online and just everywhere.

Zwetzig Skate & Bounce will have a Black Friday Skate Night beginning at 6 p.m. and Elodie’s Oddities at 102 E Overland will have a Vintage Tree painting session beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The much enjoyed annual Christmas Parade in Gering will also be on the 29th beginning at 6 p.m. and lasting for about an hour.

Then comes Saturday the 30th, last day in November 2024, wow.

The small Business Vendor Fair in Sidney will be at 1040 Jackson Street. And at 4 p.m. Santa’s Reindeer will fly in at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds in Sidney. No Mention of Santa, so not sure who is behind the wheel.

Meanwhile, the Lazy U Roadside Holiday Market in Broadwater will open at 11 a.m. They are located at 201 E Guthrie Street.

Sunday is the first day of December 2024, and I imagine it will fly by like this whole year has done.

There will be the the annual Christmas Parade in downtown Scottsbluff at 6 p.m.

December 2nd is Stained Glass Ladies Night Out at VFW Post 1517 in Alliance between 6:30 p..m. and 9 p.m., and then on the 4th at the Knights Museum is a Door Hanger Workshop beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Also on December 2nd, our middle school wrestlers will be heading to Bayard hitting the mats at 9 a.m. Good luck and safe travel!

December 3rd, the Harrisburg Community Church will have its annual Harvest Dinner. Meat, drinks and tableware will be provided. Bring yourself, guests and whatever dish or dessert you would like. Plan on eating at 6 p.m. with entertainment afterward with Kevin & Heidi Cheng, who are excellent!

Everyone is invited and welcome.

Here is a heads up!

On the 5th of December, the 6th grade Entrepreneurship Expo will be open in the little gym at 4:30 p.m. and the annual Christmas Concert will be at 6 p.m.

And on Saturday, Dec. 7, the Community Supper will be held at the Banner County Museum beginning at 5:30 p.m. Drinks and table service will be provided and you are asked to please bring a meat dish, side dish or dessert.
