School Board Opens Superintendent Search Survey

Good Morning, here we are in the last week of 2024!

Over at the schoolhouse, Christmas break continues until classes resume Tuesday, Jan.7, for students following the holidays and a teachers work day on Jan. 6.

Also, the Banner County School Board has initiated a search for a new superintendent for the district. Superintendent Evelyn Browne will be leaving after this school year.

The board requests your participation in an electronic survey to give everyone the opportunity to share their thoughts on the strengths/challenges of the district, as well as desired attributes.

The survey will be open until January 15th. The online link to the survey can be found on the school district’s website.

On December 27th, beginning at 7 a.m., the 4th Breakfast Bash a.k.a. as (Eggs & Kegs ) will be at 1824 Broadway in Scottsbluff.

Tomorrow there will be a Ranch Rodeo at the fair grounds in Torrington. It will begin at 1 p.m.

The Winter Farmers Market at the Legacy of the Plains Museum in Gering will be open between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the 28th.

Also, Elodie’s Oddietes is ending the year with a Kids Night Out on the 29th at 6 p.m.

On the 31st beginning at 6 p.m., there will be a New Year’s Eve party at the Zwetzig Skate & Bounce House.

And on New Year’s Day there will be a “1st Day Hike” at the Wild Cat Hills Recreation Center, 210615 NE-71, Gering.
