Wildcats Set To Play When School Resumes Jan. 7

Banner County

Well, it is Happy New Year 2025! As we all get going here in the New Year things are a little slower for awhile and I am okay with that.

January 4th, Saturday, the varsity girls and boys basketball teams will play here at home. Game times are 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and the opponent is Hay Springs.

The same day Papa Moon H.Q. on 3109 avenue B in Scottsbluff will host a Kids Winter Craft project between 2 and 4 p.m.

The weekend movie at the Midwest Theater this week is “Wicked,” and it about the witches in the “Wizard of Oz” – ’ bout all I know about it. The first two showings are on the 3rd at 1:30 and 7 p.m. It will also play the next two days at 7 p.m. on the 4th and at 1:30 p.m. on the 5th.

Tuesday, January 7th, school will resume, and there is more home basketball. The girls varsity team will play at 4 p.m. and the boys will follow at 5:30 p.m. The teams to beat are headed south to here from Sioux County.

Further south on the 7th, there will be a Big Game meeting at the High School in Kimball. The hosts are the Nebraska Game and Parks and Hunt Nebraska. It is expected to run between 6:30 and 9 p.m.

Back at the school house, the FFA students have District CDES at Scottsbluff on the 8th. That is related to career development. Good luck and safe travel to all of you throughout the week.

Take care until next week! Barb Cross at 436-7152.
