Longhorns Go 2-0, Sit At 6-1 Heading Into 2025

The Kimball Longhorns boys basketball team had a very successful week to wrap up competition in 2024.

The freshman team started off the week on Monday with a resounding victory over Lingle-Fort Laramie.

On Thursday and Saturday, the JV team continued its winning ways by defeating Hershey and Gordon-Rushville as they improved to 6-1 on the season.

The varsity team also defeated Hershey and Gordon-Rushville to get to 6-1 on the season.

Against Hershey, the Longhorns raced to a 25-11 lead after one quarter of play. Kimball never trailed in the contest as they notched their first SPVA Conference win of the season by defeating Hershey, 67-50.

The team shot 74% from the charity stripe (14/19) and forced 22 Hershey turnovers that led to 30 Longhorn points.

A balanced attack fueled the Longhorn victory as four players were in double figures for the contest.
